Description
Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training is assigned through Workday. The training is provided in the CITI system. Once all required modules are completed, your transcript will be updated overnight in Workday to reflect your completion. If the CITI course you completed is not marked complete in Workday after a few days, please open a ticket with the Solutions Center: https://pennsolutioncenter.freshdesk.com/support/home
- Open the CITI web site. It is recommended that you keep this page open so you can refer to it as you complete the registration process.
- Once you login with your pennkey, you will have two options.
- If you have a previous login for the CITI site, you can select I already have a CITI Program account. Login with your CITI credentials to associate your existing account with University of Pennsylvania
- If you have never used CITI, select I don’t have a CITI Program account and you will be asked to create an account. Please fill out the required information.
- Now that you are affiliated with UPenn in CITI, you will not have courses assigned. Please click Add a Course to select the appropriate modules that Penn has designated required for Responsible Conduct of Research. View courses under university.
- Read through the options. If you have other research obligations at the university, you may want to select more than one. For Responsible Conduct of Research training required for NSF and NIH funded activities, please select the 2nd RCR option[LL1] and click Next:
- Please select your school or program’s specific RCR subject matter. Your choices are Biomedical Research, Engineering, Social and Behavioral Research, Arts and Humanities, or Physical Sciences. You only have to complete one. Click Next.
