Once you have identified a funding opportunity and you want to apply, carefully review the guidelines and eligibility. The Office of Research Services (ORS) requires that all grant proposals be submitted through a mandatory electronic proposal submission system called Penn ERA.
Internal funding opportunities supported by the OVPR and Penn is a great first step – many of these are listed under our funding tab and can be searched by various filters like research area. Penn also provides all faculty, staff, and postdocs with access to the Spin Sponsored Funding Database, a large database of sponsored research funding opportunities. This is a good place to explore and get a sense of what funding opportunities align with your research area.
