Maureen O’Leary, PhD, MBA, CBSP

Biography

Maureen O’Leary is the Associate Vice Provost for Research, Environmental Health, and Radiation Safety at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. O’Leary earned her PhD in genetics and MBA from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Dr. O’Leary’s specialty area is biosafety and research compliance and is a Certified Biosafety Professional (CBSP). She was the President of American Biosafety Association (ABSA) in 2016/2017, has served on several domestic and international boards/panels and worked in Kazakhstan on a Central Reference Laboratory project.
