Biography
Jim McGonigle joined the OVPR staff in July 2022 after working in Penn Engineering since 2004 where he served as the Managing Director of the Center for Engineering Mechanobiology and the Education Director of the NanoBio Interface Center. Before arriving at Penn, he worked at the Stroud Water Research Center and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. He has an MS in Biology where his research focused on freshwater ecology and aquatic entomology. When he is not at work, he enjoys hiking and camping and recently, playing with his grandchildren.
