Biography
Dr. Hankenson obtained her veterinary degree from Purdue University, completed her graduate work and residency at the University of Washington, and became certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) in 2002. She has held faculty and administrative roles at the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hankenson has been active on committees within AALAS, including the AALAS Editorial Review Board, and has served on the Executive Board for ACLAM and as ACLAM President in 2015. She has provided consultation to AAALAC as an ad-hoc specialist since 2007.
