The University of Pennsylvania partners with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to provide complimentary Elemental Membership to Penn students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and staff. AAAS is one of the world’s largest multidisciplinary scientific societies and the publisher of the Science family of journals.

Elemental Membership includes:

  • Training and professional development, including on-demand learning, career resources, and virtual events
  • Science policy and research updates, including Member Update, Policy Alert, and ScienceAdviser
  • Networking opportunities through the AAAS Member Community and AAAS Sections
  • Leadership and volunteer opportunities across scientific communities
  • Discounted rates for the AAAS Annual Meeting and other events
  • Opportunities to build eligibility for AAAS members-only honors and awards

Penn students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and staff may claim a complimentary Elemental Membership through Penn’s institutional partnership with AAAS.

  3. Complete the requested account and profile information.
