FY 24 Postdoctoral Trainees (PDTs) Stipend & Benefits Changes

Welcome to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA)

Postdocs are a key contributor to the success and diversity of Penn's research enterprise. Scholars from around the world come to one of the twelve schools to train deeper in their own field of discipline with myriad opportunities to collaborate across fields through interdisciplinary exploration. They share their knowledge while learning from the community around them. Penn's postdocs receive research mentorship, training, and professional development. Our mission is to position each postdoc for success in the next phase of their career.

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs aims to facilitate and strengthen the resources, community, and support for postdoctoral trainees at the University of Pennsylvania. OVPR works in close collaboration with our faculty and administrative partners throughout the research community and across Penn’s twelve schools that manage and guide the University’s 1,300+ postdoctoral researchers, fellows, and NRSA fellows. Our efforts rely on intentional and continuous engagement with a diversity of stakeholders and we invite feedback on how to best support the postdoc community in their research and professional development.
