Controlled Substances Disposal Event — November 4, 2026

EHRS and the Office of Animal Welfare will host a controlled substances disposal event for current DEA registrants on Wednesday, November 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Stellar Chance Laboratories, Room 104.

The event provides Penn researchers with an opportunity to safely dispose of outdated or unwanted Schedule II–V controlled substances through Penn’s licensed reverse distributor. The Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR) will cover disposal costs for participating registrants. Schedule I controlled substances cannot be accepted at this event.

Participants must submit a drug inventory form to EHRS by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, and reserve a disposal time slot in advance.
